Sad news from the football world. Antonio Loiacono was a rising talent in Australian football. The 20-year-old was one of the young stars in the Hills Football League and a passionate football player. For his club, the Birdwood Football & Netball Club, he was only a few months on the pitch, but was able to prove himself through his sporting qualities. But now his relatives have to cope with his loss – Antonio died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a game.

Across from NCA Newswire the athlete’s brother now reported the tragic incident: “When he was picking up the ball, he was hit by a player. The blow was so violent that he went into cardiac arrest on the spot.”, explained the brother of the athlete. He was no longer able to breathe on his own. The young talent was able to be revived on the pitch, but had to be declared brain dead a day later in the hospital.

At Facebook Jack dedicated a few lines to his brother. In the text he writes: “Antonio, my other half, my best friend and the person I look up to the most, words cannot describe the pain we all feel.”
