Queen Margrethe of Denmark (82) treats herself to a little royal break. The monarch has had a difficult few months. Again and again, the 82-year-old struggled with health problems – only in February did the mother of two even have to have an operation. She’s doing better now though. Nevertheless, Margrethe still enjoys a little rest and therefore even cancels the coronation of King Charles (74)!
The press office of the palace now shared this with the news agency Ritzau with. Accordingly, the reason for Margrethe’s cancellation is her operation on her back – because after this she should queen physically still. Instead, the regent and the royal family of Denmark are to be represented in London on May 6 by their son Prince Frederik (54) and his wife Princess Mary (51).
In contrast to Margrethe, a royal will be there to the great surprise of many fans in London at the coronation: Prince Harry (38)! For a long time it was unclear whether Charles’ youngest son would be present at the event after the recent rifts. However, its appearance was officially confirmed on Wednesday.
