American Idol Lucy Love has been pursuing her dream of becoming a successful musician since childhood.
Lucy Love, a 28-year-old resident of Holly Grove, Arkansas, recently passed her first audition on American Idol.
Love’s performance in the show’s 21st season premiere episode included renditions of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “A Song for You”.
Love shared that she comes from one family of people who never had the chance to fulfill their dreams, and with no father in her life, her mother was in and out of her and her siblings’ lives.
However, Love explained that music is her refuge and the only area where she feels confident.
The American Idol judging panel, which consisted of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, gave Love three yeses, allowing her to move on to Hollywood.
