The success of the Croatian national football team in recent years has a lot to do with the contribution of striker Andrej Kramaric. Kramaric played a key role in Croatia’s historic success at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Kramaric played for all categories of the Croatian youth team before being appointed to the senior national team by coach Niko Kovac in August 2014. He made his debut for the national team in 2014 in a friendly match against Cyprus. Kramaric then played in UEFA Euro 2016, proving a hero in a match against Ukraine, where he scored the two goals that qualified his team for the World Cup play-offs.
Kramaric is much admired in his country, especially by the fans of his youth club Dinamo Zagreb. During his youth career, he scored over 450 goals for the team, making him the best scorer ever in the youth team. In 2009, he was promoted to the club’s senior national team. After a successful loan to Lokomotiva, where he scored 20 goals in 44 missions, Dinamo sold him to another Croatian club, HNK Rijeka, where he made a career leap with 37 goals from 42 missions.
His performance in Rijeka aroused the interest of several English clubs, including Leicester City, to which he joined with a record transfer fee of £9 million. His time in Leicester proved to be short-lived, as he was loaned to Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim, where he was subsequently sold.
Andrej Kramaric Family, Parents
Andrej Kramaric was born on 19 June 1991 in Zagreb, Croatia, the son of Josip and Danica Kramaric. Ever since he expressed his interest in football, Kramaric has had the support of his parents and his entire family. As a child, Kramaraic played football with his father Josip at the back of their building and everywhere else he could.
Josip devoted much of his time to make sure his son received the best possible football training. He was so committed to his son’s football career that he had to retire early to take full responsibility for his son’s management, so Kramaric does not have a typical manager/agent like most footballers do.
Looking at Kramaric’s success and growth over the years, it is fair to say that Josip has done a good job. His mother, on the other hand, knows very little about the technical aspects of football, but still supports her son.
From the way Andrej Kramaric raves about his parents through his social media accounts, you can see how close the family is. He once revealed to the media that he visits his parents whenever the opportunity arises. Enthusiastic about their son joining the 23-member squad for representing Croatia in Russia 2018, Kramaric’s parents arrived in Russia early, even before the World Cup.
The media caught up with them in Russia, where Kramaric’s mother Danica wished her son and other Croatian footballers an injury-free tournament.
Another key person in Kramaric’s life, besides his parents, is his sister. Her name is Ines Kramaric and she is the only sister and sibling Kramaric has. Kramaric and Ines Kramaric have a very close relationship. Ines, who is about four years older than Kramaric, studies psychology. We looked around on her Instagram page and found that she is an enthusiastic photographer.
Ines has a number of clips of herself watching her brother playing in the stadium. Kramaric’s closeness to his family makes it not surprising that he always dedicates his goals to his family.
Andrei Kramaric hasn’t yet started to build a family of his own… However, he has made some attempts in the past. One woman who could so easily have become Mrs. Kramaric was Marine Pavic, with whom he was together for 6 years before they separated in 2015. It is uncharacteristic of Kramaric that he initially kept his relationship with Pavic secret, but later it became known that they were a couple. While announcing their separation, Kramaric noted that he was still good friends with Pavic.
