Chance Morris graduated from high school in Texas and is described as a brilliant student who excelled in almost every subject. He then enrolled at the University of Texas but dropped out of school to pursue a career in gambling.

Morris began posting videos on specific games before moving on to posting commentary videos on all types of Xbox games. On Twitch he was able to increase his audience to over a million followers and has over 750,000 followers on YouTube, where he moved to in 2012.
