Chris was born on the 12th day of May 1975 as Christopher Sacca. He was born in Lockport, New York, United States, and grew up in a suburb of Buffalo with Gerald Sacca, an attorney, and Katherine Sacca, a professor at SUNY Buffalo State. Sacca’s father is Italian, while his mother is of Irish descent, but his family has its roots in Calabria, Italy.

Since his teenage years, Sacca and his siblings have been exposed to several lucrative and creative projects, as much as they immersed themselves in their education, visited science museums, and participated in book reading events. During his studies at Lockport High School, he mastered science subjects, including mathematics, which led him to continue his education at the State University of New York in Buffalo, where he studied advanced mathematics for six years.
Sacca also attended the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he graduated in 1997 as a fellow of the Weeks Family Foundation. Sacca also enrolled as a member of the Tax Lawyer Law Review, where he was honored as a Philip A. Ryan and Ralph J. Gilbert Memorial Scholar.
Career History- From Debt to a Billionaire
Sacca’s career as an entrepreneur began when he was still studying at law school. He began when he started his own business through a student loan that he collected. Unfortunately, the company failed while it was still growing. Nevertheless, with the little money he had left, Sacca started a new trading business on the stock exchange. Between 1998 and 2000 he was able to convert a few of his dollars into millions of dollars by taking advantage of a bug he discovered in the software of online trading brokers. The deal. However, he crashed before Sacca could pay back his money, resulting in his $4 million debt – an amount he borrowed from friends to invest in the business. To cash in on his status as a lawyer, he decided to work out a repayment plan with his broker.
Within that same year, Sacca was fortunate enough to get a job at Fenwick & West in Silicon Valley, where he worked as a business partner, handling venture capital, acquisitions, mergers, and licensing transactions for technology clients such as Macromedia, VeriSign, and Kleiner Perkins. This was the beginning of a major breakthrough for the young entrepreneur and lawyer. Although he was fired after about 13 months of practice, Sacca took this as a golden opportunity to attend several networking events and then founded a company he called The Salinger Group because of his networking business, which earned him steady payments and incentives.
Finally, in November 2003, Sacca secured a new position at Google, where he was hired as Corporate Counsel, reporting to General Counsel David Drummond. Part of his role at the multinational technology company was to create data centers around the world by negotiating and signing agreements. Sacca’s hard work and commitment really paid off. Within a short time of joining the multinational technology company, he was recognized as one of the founding members of the company’s New Business Development organization and was among the first Google employees to receive the company’s highest honor, the Founders’ Award.
After paying off his debts, Chris Sacca left Google in 2007 and joined Silicon Valley as an angel investor. There he worked as a professional consultant for several companies on a variety of issues, including how to raise money or when and how to buy/sell a company. Shortly afterward, he founded the venture capital firm Lowercase Capital to finance and advise start-ups and growing companies. From 2013 to 2016 he was already successful in his business, appearing as a guest on the 14th episode of the 7th season of the ABC reality show Shark Tank and making a number of investments during the 7th and 8th season. Today, according to Forbes, Chris Sacca is worth about $1.15 billion in 2018.
