David Visentin was born on 28 June 1965 in Toronto, Canada. He was raised by his father Nick Visentin, an agent for Country Living Realty. Not much is known about his childhood days and family background. He attended the West Humbler Collegiate Institute and also graduated from the University of Waterloo.

Career

David Visentin began his career in 1987 when he started working as an agent for Country Living Realty in Rosemont, Ontario. At that time he was working alongside his father, Nick Visentin. He was active in the Canadian housing market for more than 16 years. Because of his experience, David became an expert in selecting and buying homes for people.

However, in 2008 David started his film and television career when he signed a contract with Big Coats Productions. He began working as a co-host alongside Hillary Farr, an interior designer on the W Network series entitled Love It or List It. The series premiered in 2008 and is broadcast on W Network, HGTV, and OWN Canada. The series was nominated for two Gemini Awards in 2010 in the Best Reality Series and Best Direction in Reality Series categories and received wide recognition.
