True ESC fans not only look forward to the performances of the various artists – the journalist has been an integral part of the spectacle for many years and is now considered a true legend. Peter addressed a few words to the viewers: “I would like to thank you for the trust and the long-standing loyalty, it was an honor and a great pleasure for me!” Frank Beckmann, the station’s program director, also found loving and praising words for his performance: “His support over a whole generation has shaped the ESC. We will miss him!”
What tasks themselves Peter after his retirement is unclear. It is clear that he will devote himself to his health. Because in the summer of 2021 the musician had to have an emergency operation because he was threatened with sepsis. Loud Picture infected fluid had pooled in his hip joint.
