A few weeks ago, the fourth season of the popular thriller series starring Penn Badgley (36) premiered: The new episodes are all about serial killer Joe Goldberg, who has since gone into hiding as a professor in London. But the story does not end with what happened in Great Britain: It has now been confirmed that “You” is getting a fifth season – and this season will also be the last!
As part of an official press release, which now includes, among other things People is available, the streaming service Netflix announced that further episodes of the successful series are planned. “Will Joe Goldberg finally pay for his sentences? Fans of the hit thriller will soon learn more about Joe’s fate as ‘You’ returns for a fifth and final season”explained those responsible for the video platform.
The main actor Penn had already faced GQ revealed that the end of “You” had been planned for years. “I know what showrunner Greg Berlanti suggested to me a few years ago when he thought it was the right way to end the series,” the actor pointed out, adding: “If there’s another season, I think there’s going to be a grand finale.”
