Now that the two are probably irretrievably separated, Tom announces the end of his career – and Gisele supports this decision.
On Instagram, Tom announced his final exit from the NFL in a video. “I’m retiring – for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just hit record and let you guys know first,” he says the 45-year-old. Not only friends and colleagues speak up in the comments, but also his ex-wife Gisele: “I only wish you wonderful things in this new phase of life.” Apparently, the native Brazilian is also happy that he is finally taking this step after such a long time.
The back-and-forth over Tom’s retirement wasn’t just a minor point of contention between him and Gisele – according to an expert from The Sun, it may even have been a trigger for the divorce. Because of the lack of professional security, Tom could have lost himself, which in turn could have made his wife feel neglected.
