Grant Cardone Bio
Grant Cardone was born on 21 March 1958 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is one of five children of his parents – Curtis Louis and Concetta Neil Cardone. His father died in February 1968, just one month before Grant’s 10th birthday, and his mother died in 2009.
He attended La Grange High School, Lake Charles, and McNeese State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. In 2010 he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from McNeese State University. The award is presented to the institution’s outstanding graduates.
After graduation, Grant moved to Chicago, where he began his career with a sales training company. The nature of the job led him to travel all over the state. Eventually, he returned to Lake Charles, then to Houston, Texas, where he pitched his tent for a while before moving to La Jolla, California, where he lived for 12 years.
Before he finally moved his offices from California to Miami Beach in 2012, he had also lived in Los Angeles.
After working for many years in the sales training company, Grant Cardone moved into car sales and soon became CEO of Freedom Motorsports Group Inc. In 2010, Grant began working with a media company called Atlas Media Corp., and together they developed a reality TV series called Turnaround King for the National Geographic Channel, aimed at educating business people on how to grow their business.
Cardone owns and operates several companies including Cardone Group, Cardone Enterprises, and Cardone Real Estate Holdings. Today, his company, Training Technologies, provides an interactive sales training platform to companies, both small and growing businesses and entrepreneurs.
He owns a real estate portfolio in the United States with an estimated value of over $566 million. Unlike many successful real estate moguls who built their real estate portfolios as a full-time career, Grant built a sideline business to channel and increase the revenue he generated with his sales consulting firm.
His real estate holdings are scattered throughout the state and are located in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Grant is also the author of five books – The 10X Rule; Sell or Be Sold, The Closers Survival Guide, If You’re Not First, You’re Last; and Sell to Survive.
The business mogul is a regular contributor to Fox & Friends, has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, appeared on CNBC, CNN, and over 700 radio shows across the country.

Cardone is happily married to the Spanish-born actress Elena Lyons. The couple tied the knot in July 2004 and have remained together ever since, without rumors of divorce or any kind of scandal.
