Ed Sheeran’s wife’s health update revealed a scary health complication during her pregnancy, which the singer-songwriter recently opened up about.

Cherry Seaborn was diagnosed with a tumor while pregnant with their second daughter, Jupiter, who was born in May 2021.

Sheeran shared with his social media followers that his wife could not be treated until after the baby was born.

The news came as the couple also faced the death of a close friend and a copyright infringement case against him over his hit song ‘Shape of You’.

Sheeran did not provide an update on Seaborn’s current health, but cited the incident as an inspiration for his new album Subtract.

However, Ed Sheeran’s wife, Cherry Seaborn, is on the mend following the discovery of a tumor while pregnant with their second child, Jupiter, last May.

The experience was traumatic, but they want to put it behind them and hope for a better 2023.

Ed’s fans were quick to show their support, writing: “Hope Cherry is doing well, and you are both on the road to recovery,” and, “Please send all our love to Cherry, we really hope she is doing much better now.”

Sheeran has been working on a new album titled “Subtract”, which will be his most personal yet.

The album was initially ten years worth of material he had been working on, but he replaced it with new songs he wrote as therapy during the most difficult time of his life.

He explained that a series of events, including Seaborn’s health problems, the sudden death of close friend Jamal Edwards, and a lawsuit over his song “Shape of You,” his life, mental health, and the way he viewed music and art, changed.

Writing to fans on Instagram, Sheeran explained how he wrote the new songs without thinking about what they would be, just writing what tumbled out.

He said he wriggled through fear, depression and anxiety, feeling like he was drowning and unable to break through for air.

The album is his way of understanding everything that happened to him last year and is a diary entry from last February.

Sheeran and Seaborn are very private and the star doesn’t often post about his family life. The couple married in 2019 and have a 2-year-old daughter, Lyra.

Sheeran’s close friend, Jamal Edwards, was a British entrepreneur who gave Sheeran his big break through his media company SBTV.

Edwards died at the age of 31 after a sudden illness in February 2022.

Sheeran was in court to defend his integrity and career as a songwriter over a lawsuit alleging he plagiarized “Shape of You” by an artist named Sami Switch. Sheeran won the case in April 2022.

“Subtract” will be released May 5, following a string of other math-themed albums from Sheeran, including “Plus,” “Multiply,” “Divide,” and “Equals.”

For the first time, Sheeran isn’t trying to make an album that people will like, just putting out something that’s honest and true to where he is now in his adult life.

He hopes his fans will appreciate the honesty and that the album will resonate with those who have been through hard times.
