They don’t want to be on Anna Wintour’s (73) guest list. The Met Gala takes place in New York City on May 1st. The Vogue boss herself decides who is allowed to come, so that the guests are handpicked by her every year. And anyone who cancels once is not allowed to come again – with exceptions, of course. But there are probably also some cancellations: Several stars are not fans of annas Met Gala.
A visit to the Met Gala was probably enough for some big celebrities. Among other things, Demi Lovato (30) was appalled by the fashion event. “I’ve been there once and it’s such an idiot parade. […] Of course I’ll never go there again”she railed in the “The Late Show with David Letterman”. And she’s obviously not alone in that assumption. Comedian Amy Schumer (41) also avoids the Met Gala. She meant in the “Howard Stern Show”: “We’re dressed like a bunch of fucking assholes. I don’t like that. And I’m not interested in fashion.”
And Zayn Malik (30) will probably no longer receive an invitation to the Met Gala. The singer said im GQ-Interview: “This is not something I would go to. I’d rather sit at home and do something productive. That narcissistic, ‘Look at me, I’m so great’ thing on the red carpet isn’t really my thing.” His stylist had talked him into his last appearances in New York.
