Bad Behind Bars is a sequel to Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret, which was released in 2013, starring Tricia Black as Donavan Bering and Lynn Rafferty as Tracy Brown, whose death is alluded to during the film’s final moments.

According to an Understanding Crime post on Facebook, Tracy Brown, who married Donavan Bering in 2018, died by suicide in December 2022.
Her mother, Yolanda Ducharme, revealed that Tracy struggled with depression, which eventually led to her death. Yolanda expressed her grief by saying that she couldn’t help her daughter and that the depression had taken hold of her.
Understanding Crime quotes Yolanda as saying, “Tracy, I miss you. I love you. Depression has taken you from us. I’m trying to get through the day. I’m trying to understand, but I’m not sure I’ll ever understand.” Yolanda also said, “I love you little girl, may your soul rest in peace. Forever and ever you will have a place in my heart.”
When did Yolanda Ducharme announce Tracy Brown’s death?
On Sunday, December 4, 2022, Yolanda posted on Facebook that her daughter Tracy had passed away. She requested that her family be kept in everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
The post garnered many comments from people who knew Tracy, who offered their condolences and prayers.
A minute before this post, Yolanda had shared a post calling Tracy as her “baby girl” and her “first daughter,” who she will always hold in her heart.
On December 31, 2022, Yolanda posted a message on Facebook, expressing her hope that the new year would bring new love, joy, laughter and memories as the past two years had taken so much away from them all.
Recently, her cousin Aj Brown, age 35, also passed away, and she shared the information on a GoFundMe page for him on social media.
Donavan Bering, Tracy Brown’s partner, also recently battled cancer.
According to Understanding Crime’s report on Tracy’s death, Donavan was diagnosed with cancer after their marriage and while the couple was dealing with the fallout from their strained relationship with Jodi Arias.
While Donavan was undergoing chemotherapy, Tracy was battling a mental illness.
Despite this, Donavan reportedly expressed her gratitude for Tracy’s care, stating that she had taken excellent care of him.
However, the outlet notes that clinical depression is a challenging condition.
As depicted in Bad Behind Bars: Jodi Arias, Donavan and Tracy got married in 2018 and their marriage lasted about four years until Tracy’s passing.
