Kelly Rutherford (54) would love to be Lily van der Woodsen again! From 2007 to 2012, she slipped into the role of the wealthy New Yorker in Gossip Girl. Almost two years ago, the cult series received a reboot with new characters. But there were also old faces, including popular characters Dorota, Eleanor Waldorf, Cyrus Rose, and Georgina Sparks! Although things aren’t going well for the reboot at the moment, Kelly would be interested in returning to “Gossip Girl”!
“I would be right there!”, the blonde revealed to Gala regarding a ‘Gossip Girl sequel. In her opinion, the series should never have ended. She even has an idea for another season! “It would be great if the next season takes place in the art world, I’ve already talked to a few people about it. Maybe I’ll pitch it to the producers in LA,” said the actress, thinking about putting her plan into action.
The “Gossip Girl” reboot starring Thomas Doherty (27), Whitney Peak, and Jordan Alexander, among others, will be stamped on HBO after two seasons. “It pains me at heart to announce that ‘ Gossip Girl ‘ is being discontinued,” series creator Josh Safran shared on Instagram with the sad news.
