Isaiah Thomas Salary and Net Worth

Isaiah Thomas earns about $6.261 million a year in salary after the Cleveland Cavaliers traded him for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. of the Lakers three hours before the NBA trading deadline in the first round of 2018.

So far, it can be said that Thomas has had a successful career as a basketball player. He attended the University of Washington where he started playing with the All Pac-10 team, but starting in 2011 he earned a large sum of money as a salary when he joined the NBA Draft and was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 60th choice in the second round of the draft, who signed a 4-year contract worth $27,000,002 with him, which includes an average annual salary of $6,750,001. During his time with the Sacramento Kings, he was named the second all-rookie team in the NBA.

Thomas then made a fantastic career leap, reaching 38 points against Oklahoma City Thunder on January 19, 2014 – a career highlight. He then became the shortest player ever to score a triple-double in the NBA against the Washington Wizards on March 18, 2014. He was also named the fifth player under 6 feet to accomplish this feat, having averaged over 20 points and 6 assists per game.

Things began to change, however, after he joined the Boston Celtics on February 19, 2015, scoring up to 21 points off the bench in his debut match against the Los Angeles Lakers. Since his return in 2015, after an injury that excluded him from eight games of the season, he has continued to suffer from multiple hip injuries that will keep him out of the game for the rest of 2017. However, he scored 17 points in 19 minutes from the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers, to whom he had switched on 22 August 2017. In an attempted defeat to Oklahoma City Thunder on 20 January 2018, he even scored a season-high of 24 points.

In the 2017-2018 season, Isaiah Thomas is expected to earn a base salary of $6,261,395, while he will achieve a cap hit of $6,261,395 and a dead cap of $6,261,395. His net worth, which currently stands at $20.4 million, is expected to increase by approximately 156% in the coming years due to his achievements.
