You haven’t seen Jaimie Alexander at her best if you haven’t seen her portrayal of Jessi, the troubled girl with superpowers, in the ABC Family television show Kyle XY, of Sif in the superhero movie Thor and its sequel Thor: The Dark World, and of Jane Doe in the NBC series Blindspot, a role she took on and still plays in 2015.
For one thing, Jaimie is quite good with strong and tough characters, which may have something to do with the fact that she grew up surrounded by four boys as siblings.
Jaimie Alexander’s Biography
The American actress was born on March 12, 1984. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, the beauty spent only a few years in her birthplace before she moved with her family to Grapevine, Texas at the age of four. Already in elementary school she showed great potential in acting but was so bad at the theater that she was dumped in high school because she couldn’t sing. Later she finished her academic requirements at Colleyville Heritage High School and went to Los Angeles for her acting career.
She finally got her chance as a professional actress in 2003 in the leading role of Hanna Thompson in the movie The Other Side. She got the role by chance as she was helping out at the audition when the director saw that she was perfect for the role.
The Other Side opened the door for other roles, with Squirrel Trap as the second film in which she appeared as Sara. She then had a guest appearance in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and in an episode of Standoff.
Soon Jaimie Alexander was getting more and more prominent roles and appeared in Watch Over Me (series 2006-07) in a leading role as Caitlin Porter. She also got her first leading role in the horror movie Rest Stop in 2006. She got another leading role in a horror movie in 2007 when she played the character of Elizabeth Chambers in Hallowed Ground.
From 2007 to 2009, Jaimie Alexander played her most popular roles to date in both movies and television series. Her portrayal of the character of Jessi Hollander in Kyle XY of the ABC Family earned her a huge fan base, and before the end of the series, another major breakthrough came. She was cast as Sif in the live-action superhero movie Thor in September 2009, but the blockbuster was released in May 2011 to rave reviews, so her role in the sequel Thor: The Dark World came as no surprise.
In 2010, Jaimie Alexander was cast in both comedy-drama films, Loosies and Nurse Jackie, and the following year she appeared in three episodes of the second season of Covert Affairs.
Since her debut as a professional actress, Jaimie Alexander has directed over 30 films and series. One of her most recent appearances is Jane Doe in Blindspot. She has been on the NBC series since 2015.
Who Is Her Husband Or Boyfriend?
Jaimie Alexander has been engaged twice before but never made it to the altar with anyone. She was first engaged in 2012 with the actor Milo Ventimiglia, then she entered into a relationship with the actor Peter Facinelli the same year her previous engagement ended.
She met Peter in 2012 on the set of Loosies, and the two got along well when they got engaged in March 2015. Unfortunately, we still haven’t been able to get a glimpse of Jaimie in her wedding dress when she and Peter officially ended their engagement in 2016.
It soon became clear that Airon Armstrong was the man in Jaimie’s life. The actress began dating the stunt actor in September 2016.
