Larry Leatham and Janet Leatham welcomed their son, Jeffery Leatham, to the city of Ogden, Utah, USA on September 7, 1971. Jeff, who is an American by birth in the USA, belongs to the Caucasian race.
He was raised in his hometown together with his sister Jennifer Roush by his parents, who were teachers in a local school. Leatham is a graduate of Bonneville High School in Washington Terrace, Utah, and Weber State University, but his degree and the year in which he died are not yet known.

His first known job was at an outlet clothing store Gap in downtown Ogden, where he spent several months before he was finally promoted to branch manager of a Salt Lake City store. Six months later, however, things went wrong, prompting Haynes to file a petition asking for the dissolution of the marriage. The two named May 1, 2018, as the official separation date and cited insurmountable differences as the reason for their separation.
