After graduating from Brown University, Julie went to the Empire State (New York) and studied all the more in the Actor’s Studio as she wanted to perfect her acting skills. While still studying in the studio, words were spoken about her talent, and in 1992 she got a role in a soap opera called Loving.

This was followed by another role in an episode of a 1993 college drama entitled Class 96, after which she caught the audience’s attention with a lead role in Daughters, a 1994 television movie, followed by her role as the main character’s love interest in Happy Gilmore (1996).

Julie Bowen married Scott Philips on September 9, 2004, and their marriage produced three children: Oliver, born on April 10, 2007, and twin boys John and Gustav, born on May 8, 2009.

It broke her heart when in February 2016 the news came out that she wanted to divorce her 13-year-old husband. When worried fans began to wonder what could have gone wrong between a mother of three and her devoted husband, it was revealed that they had been separated since 2016, which Julie believed meant she would attend the Emmys 2016 alone.

Well, she set the date for the final divorce on December 17, 2017, while she cited the “troublesome” irreconcilable differences as a curse for breaking up with her husband. She prayed that the courts would grant her and her soon-to-be ex-husband joint legal and physical custody of her three boys, while at the same time not burdening her with marital maintenance.

After her official divorce date, it was revealed that Julie and Scott were trying to keep things together for the good of their sons, but their last-minute attempt was not strong enough to withstand the debacle of their once happy union. It is official, Julie Bowen is now a divorced mother of three children.

Plastic Surgery

The TV star, like many others in her profession, had some cosmetic surgery done on her to improve her appearance. It was said that she had lip fillers enlarged, her cheeks contoured with fillers, and judging by the new flawless appearance of her skin, Julie probably had laser resurfacing or micro-needling with PRP or stem cells.
