Los Angeles-based American musician, disc jockey, and producer Hayden Capuozzo, also known as Kayzo, has become a force to be reckoned with in the American music industry. The talented DJ gained fame through his breathtaking remixes and hits. Interestingly, his musical style includes the inclusion of trap and hardstyle genres to create what he calls a unique and aggressive sound. He gained wide recognition in 2017 after he discontinued his single Wake Up in collaboration with RIOT.

Kayzo – Biography

Born on October 8, 1991, as Hayden Capuozzo, the DJ was born in Houston, Texas, United States of America. He spent his early years growing up with his family in Los Angeles. He is a field hockey talent, and during his school days, he played for his school team.

His interest in music began when he was very young, and this flair led him to enroll in the school of electronic music production, Icon Collective in Los Angeles. There he spent nine months and graduated in 2012. During this time he mastered the basic elements of electronic music and also distinguished himself as a bassist with an aggressive sound and elements of the trap, hardstyle, and dubstep genres.

Music Career and Rise to Prominence

Shortly after graduating from music school, Kayzo started his music career in 2012. He recorded his breakout performance when he participated in Insomniac’s Discovery Project challenge that year. After an impressive performance, he became the winner of the competition. As a result of his victory, he was given the opportunity to work as a DJ at this year’s Escape from Wonderland Music Festival. This trip was also his first appearance as a DJ.

The following year he released his first single Malfunction 2.0 in collaboration with Duelle. More singles followed, “Gettin Down” with Slander (American DJ duo – Derek Andersen and Scott Land) and “Recoil” with Jordan Alexander. Spreading his tentacles, Kayzo began to collaborate with other DJs from other parts of the world.

In 2014, he released a joint single called Crank with Australian musician Seek N Destroy. He also released his first EP Fired, which was produced by Firepower Records. The following year, Kayzo released a single in collaboration with Dotcom called Take a Picture ft. Later that year he released another single, Hasselhouse.

The talented DJ then founded his own record label called Doghouse Recordings and produced the EP Welcome to the Doghouse in 2016. In the same year, he released two more hit singles, including Home featuring Cesqeaux and Frequency alongside Gammer. He also appeared on Yultron’s song Tempura Roll with Dotcom and Ookay.

2017 was a very busy year for Kayzo, as he released two hit singles – This Time and Whistle Wars. In that year he also performed at the Nameless Music Festival in Italy. His next project, which happens to be his debut album, was released in January 2018 and was called Overload.

Kayzo has also remixed several songs by popular artists. These include Salt Shaker by the Ying Yang Twins and Lil Jon; Lunatic by DJ Snake and Mercer; Last Resort by Papa Roach, Purple Lamborghini by Skrillex and Rick Ross.

Through his breathtaking performances, Kayzo has won the hearts of many hip-hop lovers. His unique and perfect combinations of hardstyle, dubstep, trap, and hardcore music genres have made him an outstanding DJ in America.
