Kent Bazemore Biography
Bazemore was born the son of Kenneth Lamont Bazemore Jr. on July 1, 1989, as the son of Kenneth and Glynis Bazemore. His birthplace is Kelford, North Carolina. He attended Bertie High School in North Carolina and from then on he showed many perspectives. In his junior year, he was named Roanoke-Chowan Player of the Year. In his senior year, he was also named Roanoke-Chowan Player of the Year and North Carolina Coastal Conference Player of the Year.
Some of his averages during his senior year at Bertie High School were 18.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 10.3 rebounds per game. He was selected for the North Carolina – South Carolina All-Star Game in his junior year, averaging 22.9 points and 9.8 rebounds.
In Bazemore’s first year at Old Dominion University (ODU), he was mainly played in rotation and averaged 4.5 points and rebounds per game. In the same 2008-2009 season, he helped the ODU team win the 2009 Collegeinsider.com tournament. Bazemore joined the starting line-up in his second year and his performances during the season led to his inclusion in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) all-defense team.

Although Kent Bazemore was not part of the 2012 NBA draft, he began his career by joining the Oklahoma Thunders in the Orlando Summer League. He later joined the Golden State Warriors in the Las Vegas Summer League and signed with the team in July 2012. While playing there as a rookie, he was assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League.
In February 2013, the Golden State Warriors traded Bazemore and Mashron for Steve Blake of the Los Angeles Lakers.
