For her high school education, she attended a Catholic high school for girls only, the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami. Here Lauren tried her hand at many extracurricular activities, including softball and talent shows.

Lauren decided that a career in music was the way to go, so at the age of 16, she attended The X Factor auditions, which were held in Greensboro, North Carolina. She sang the song title If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys. She received positive reviews from the judges for her performance, with one of them, Antonio Reid, describing her voice as rough and mature and her performance as perfect.
She made it to the second round of the competition after the audition. However, her ambitions for a solo career came to an impasse when she competed against a country group called “Sister C”. Jauregui did not make it past this point but was called back to the competition, this time with four other young aspiring artists: Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke, Normani Hamilton, and Camila Cabello. It was the prominent juror Simon Cowell who had the idea of putting the girls into a quintet, later to be called Fifth Harmony. This time, with more girl power on their side, Lauren and her group went on and took second place in the competition.
After The X Factor, things seemed to be looking up for Laurel Jauregui and her musical ambitions. In 2013 the group recorded and released their first EP called Better Together. On February 3, 2015, the girl group released Reflection, their first album, and the second 7/27 album followed on May 20, 2016.

On August 25, 2017, the group released their third studio album entitled Fifth Harmony. Overall, Lauren and her friends had great success, each of their albums did well in the charts and the group was invited to some of the best shows in the country. They even wrote soundtracks for movies like Hotel Transylvania 2 and The Star, both animated films.
Meanwhile, after the release of their popular single Work From Home from their album 7/27, Jauregui and the other girls in the group started working to build individual careers and started solo projects. Lauren Jauregui got herself a contribution to Marian Hill’s song Back to Me in December 2016. A few months later, she also contributed to Halsey’s Strangers, a track from her 2017 album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Lauren has also worked with artists such as Steve Aoki and Ty Dolla $ign.
In May 2018, Jauregui finally announced the release of her debut solo album. This was based on Fifth Harmony’s announcement two months earlier that they would take an indefinite break from the collective to work on their solo career.

The celebrity singer does have a few tattoos on her body, but she is nowhere near as tattooed as many of her colleagues in the industry.
For the singer, it seems as if she gets tattooed just to remember something real in her life and not for aesthetic reasons. She received her first tattoo in September 2014, which was the image of a dragonfly tattooed on her neck. Jauregui says she got it in memory of her deceased grandmother.
In August 2015 she had the Roman numerals “XXVII” tattooed on her right elbow. It represents the number 27, which Lauren says is special for two important reasons. She was born on June 27, 1996, and her ultra-successful girl’s group was formed on July 27, 2012.
In October 2016, she had the name of her paternal grandmother “Angelica” tattooed on her left forearm to commemorate the woman who died in February of the previous year.
