For a musician to be able to address a specific audience, they usually tend to focus on one genre or at least on genres that are very similar to each other. However, this was not the case with Lenny Kravitz, who found a way to integrate elements of rock, blues, soul, R&B, funk, jazz, reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, pop, folk, and ballads into his music. For this reason, the Bahamian-American musician found it difficult to find a record company he could call at home because he was told that his music was not “black enough” or “white enough”.

Nevertheless, Kravitz continued to create his specific music mix, which later triggered a bidding war between labels like Warner Bros., Elektra, Geffen, Capitol, and Virgin. The boy, who began as a three-year-old boy tapping on pots and pans in the kitchen, finally signed with Virgin Records in January 1989. His debut album “Let Love Rule”, a combination of rock and funk with the mood of the 1960s, was released on September 6, 1989, and received varying degrees of critical acclaim. The album sold moderately in the USA but was an instant hit in Europe.

Lenny Kravitz Net Worth

Based on reports from several authoritative sources, Lenny Kravitz has an estimated net worth of about $50 million. A four-time Grammy award winner, Kravitz has amassed enormous wealth through his successful music career, selling millions of records and merchandise while selling out stadiums and arenas whenever he tours. He has also earned a good portion of his wealth over the years through his appearances in movies and television series.

As any wise man would, Kravitz started a business that would help him maintain his wealth instead of just relying on his career. In 2003, he founded an interior and furniture design company called Kravitz Design Inc. The company’s famous clients include Swarovski Crystal, Morgan’s Hotel Group, and The Setai Group.

Parents

The musician Lenny Kravitz is the only child of his parents, Roxie Roker and Sy Kravitz. His mother, a Howard University graduate, is an actress who played the character of Helen Willis in the CBS sitcom “The Jefferies” (1975-1985). His father, however, worked as a television news producer for NBC.

The two married in 1962 and welcomed their son two years later. In 1985, however, it had come to the point where they decided to separate and divorce. It is not clear what happened to Sy afterward, but Roker never remarried and she died of breast cancer in 1995.

Height and Weight

It would be unfair to men all over the world if Lenny Kravitz had everything, i.e. a decent career and the perfect body measurements. Fortunately, as much as the multi-talented entertainer has a body worth dying for, he is a little short in height, standing at 5 feet 8 inches (1.76 m) at least 1 inch shorter than the average American male. He also weighs about 73 kg (160 lbs).
