Have you heard of the American rock band PVRIS, led by women? Maybe not! Anyway, just keep reading, because here is everything you need to know about the band and their beautiful frontwoman (or should I say frontwoman?) Lyndsey Gunnulfsen.

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen Biography

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen (or Lynn Gunn, as she prefers to be called) was born on March 15, 1994, in Boston, Massachusetts. There is little information about her growing up or her early life. Her parents are Peter Gunnulfsen and Cathy Gunnulfsen. Her father is a contractor, while her mother is a teacher. Another family member is a sibling, an older brother, Nathaniel Gunnulfsen, whom she mentioned in several interviews. She had said in an interview that her interest in music began at a very tender age when she grew up with her family and that she had to steal her brother’s guitar to learn to play music. This was the beginning of her journey with music, which has proven to be successful, at least for the moment.

In high school, Lyndsey Gunnulfsen went to Lowell High School in Lowell, which she graduated in 2012. Her pilgrimage in high school could be described as very rewarding, as it was there that she started her music career. She made her debut in the fifth grade when she signed up to participate in a school talent show. Accompanied by her brother, Lyndsey lived up to her chosen song. She decided not to pursue further education by going to college and, to her parents’ disappointment, formed a rock band. Her inspiration to form a rock band came in the seventh grade after seeing Paramore in a live concert. Lyndsey Gunnulfsen is an American citizen and belongs to the white ethnic group.

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen’s career began in high school but only became popular with the rock band PVRIS. The band was formed in 2012 after graduating from high school after being inspired by the Paramore band. The PVRIS band started out as a five-piece band called PARIS, with Kyle Anthony on vocals, Brad Griffin on drums, Lyndsey Gunnulfsen on keyboards and rhythm guitar, Alex Babinski on lead guitar, and Brian Macdonald on bass. However, the formation changed in 2013 when Kyle Anthony left the band. Lyndsey became the lead singer of the band.

The band first played shows and even went on a mini-tour before releasing their first EP entitled Paris on March 26, 2013. They officially adopted the name “PVRIS” as the band name in order to avoid legal violations later that year (2013). Also in 2013, their drummer Brad Griffin left the band, leaving Lyndsey, Alex, and Brian, who are still members of the rock band today. In 2014 they joined the Ice Grills on a musical tour of Japan, and the band played with two American pop-punk bands, State Champs and A Loss For Words.

The group released their first album later that year, entitled White Noise, after being signed to the metal label Rise. The album included titles like White Noise, Smoke, Eyelids, Mirrors, St. Patrick, Holy, etc. All the tracks on the album were written by Lyndsey Gunnulfsen and it sold about 100,000 copies in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2017 (August 25th) the band released a second album entitled All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell with titles like Heaven, Same Soul, No Mercy, Anyone Else, etc. Lyndsey Gunnulfsen was co-producer of the album alongside Blake Harnage.

Is She Gay or Straight?

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen is not heterosexual. Her sexual orientation is gay/lesbian. She opened up to her mother by writing a letter. She left the letter under her mother’s pillow when she left for her first tour with PVRIS. Lyndsey is trying to be a role model for the LGBT community and for young people who want to be like herself because she never had anyone to look up to, which made her openly admitting that she was gay a bit uncomfortable.
