For Stefanie Kloß (38), singing my song got emotional. The tenth season of the music show started today. Every evening the group devotes itself to one of the musicians present and interprets their songs in a completely new way. On the first evening stood Stefanie as the frontwoman of the band Silbermond. And singer Johannes Oerding (41) even moved Steffi to tears with his performance.
For his appearance at “Sing my song” had John the silvermoon-Track “In my memory” selected. And behind the song there is a special meaning for Steffi, because she dedicated it to her late father. She lost it as a teenager and she tries to keep it in her memory with this song. “That’s why we’re musicians and luckily we can write songs like that. That gives a bit of peace.”, explained the 38-year-old. “I definitely have goosebumps right now,” he said John. And when he started to sing, the tears rolled down very quickly.
In connection to John‘ performance, the group seems to agree that it is one of the most poignant performances of the evening. With tears in her eyes, Steffi sums it up: “We all kind of need a song to let people in when they leave.” A little later she is on stage herself and sings a new song of her own as a dedication to all moms.
