She had a guest appearance as an assistant to Nova Prime (Glenn Close) in Guardians of the Galaxy. Although she has already appeared in other movies before Guardians, the film remains her biggest success so far.

1. Mikaela Hoover got engaged with the arts from a tender age

The actress The Guardian of the Galaxy was born on July 12, 1984, in Colbert, Washington as the first of four siblings. Her parents are Nancy (Mehrizi) and Frank R. Hoover, Jr.

She began taking dance lessons at the age of 2. As a child, Mikaela starred in school plays and local commercials. When she entered high school, she was a cheerleader and became captain of her high school dance team. She was also on the debate team.

2. She has always wanted to be an actress

As a child, she re-enacted the animated musical fantasy film Little Mermaid for her family and always dealt with all those memorable voices.

In an interview, Mikaela said that she could never remember a time when she didn’t want to be an actress. When she was in high school, she already knew that she would go to college at the center of the nation’s film and television industry, Los Angeles, and get a degree in theater.

When the time came for her to attend college after high school graduation, she was accepted at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. From there she began to participate in theater work and continued her career as an actress. In 2006 she received her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies.

3. She got her first acting role the same year she graduated from college

Mikaela made her acting debut in 2006 when she portrayed Cami in a web series SamHas7Friends. She came into the spotlight after playing a regular role as Madison Westerbrook on the WB.com web series Sorority Forever in 2008. Mikaela has also starred in other films, including a recurring role on the ABC show Happy Endings, guest roles in popular sitcoms such as How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Saint George, The League, Zombie Basements, Casanovas, and Anger Management.

4. She loves horror films

The Sorority Forever actress is a big fan of horror movies. Her absolute favorite horror movie is Scream. She has worked on a short horror movie called Hide and Seeks. Since she is in love with this genre, she longs for an adrenaline rush that scares her. A real fan, you can agree with me.

Although she found it interesting and almost unbelievable to work with Glenn Close and John C. Reilly on Guardians of the Galaxy, it wasn’t nearly how she felt when she met the mastermind behind Scream. According to her, she withdrew and cried after meeting him, Wes Craven.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy was not her first meeting with James Gunn

Mikaela Hoover described her relationship with James Gunn, the director of Guardian of the Stars, as a BFF relationship full of insider jokes and non-stop laughter.

She caught the attention of the director, who has been writing, performing, and making films since the age of 12 when she could no longer remember her lines and had to improvise at an audition, which revealed her natural silliness. Mikaela attributed her friendship to improvisation.

She met James when she auditioned for a short film called Humanzee! Since then the two have collaborated on a number of other works, including the film Super, The Sparky, and Mikaela Show and his PG Pornos. Although the two have what you might call a great relationship, she sees working with him as a dream come true.

6. Mikaela Hoover took Improv class

Mikaela said that improvisation makes things more authentic and gives her acting skills more energy. That’s why she decided to take an improvisation course at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.
