1. Mikaela Hoover got engaged with the arts from a tender age
The actress The Guardian of the Galaxy was born on July 12, 1984, in Colbert, Washington as the first of four siblings. Her parents are Nancy (Mehrizi) and Frank R. Hoover, Jr.
She began taking dance lessons at the age of 2. As a child, Mikaela starred in school plays and local commercials. When she entered high school, she was a cheerleader and became captain of her high school dance team. She was also on the debate team.
2. She has always wanted to be an actress
As a child, she re-enacted the animated musical fantasy film Little Mermaid for her family and always dealt with all those memorable voices.
In an interview, Mikaela said that she could never remember a time when she didn’t want to be an actress. When she was in high school, she already knew that she would go to college at the center of the nation’s film and television industry, Los Angeles, and get a degree in theater.
When the time came for her to attend college after high school graduation, she was accepted at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. From there she began to participate in theater work and continued her career as an actress. In 2006 she received her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies.

Mikaela made her acting debut in 2006 when she portrayed Cami in a web series SamHas7Friends. She came into the spotlight after playing a regular role as Madison Westerbrook on the WB.com web series Sorority Forever in 2008. Mikaela has also starred in other films, including a recurring role on the ABC show Happy Endings, guest roles in popular sitcoms such as How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Saint George, The League, Zombie Basements, Casanovas, and Anger Management.

Mikaela Hoover described her relationship with James Gunn, the director of Guardian of the Stars, as a BFF relationship full of insider jokes and non-stop laughter.
