Is Naomi Sayre missing? Theresa’s report was followed by an extensive investigation involving multiple regional law enforcement agencies.
Tragically, Naomi was found dead Wednesday morning in a rural area near Fayette County.
The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, although the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has said they will continue an investigation until all the facts are brought to light and justice can be served.
Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
Sunday March 12 was a day of action in the village of Bloomingburg. A community search was coordinated to find Sayre, who had been missing for several days.
Volunteers poured into the area and fanned out to prioritize certain areas where Sayre was last seen in hopes of bringing her home.
However, just three days later, on Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s office received a report from a home in Bloomingburg and hurriedly rushed to the crime scene.
Fortunately, upon arrival at the house, the agents were quickly dispatched to Sayre – although it was not the outcome everyone had hoped for. Sayre’s body lay in the upper closet of that same house.
Naomi’s death has shocked her family and friends, as she was taken far too soon, seemingly without explanation.
While the cause of death is tragically still unknown, the Montgomery County medical coroner thoroughly examined Naomi’s body in an autopsy to bring her loved ones to an end.
The sheriff’s office reported that no signs of foul play were found upon investigation. We remain hopeful that the answers will eventually come to light so that those closest to Naomi can find peace.
