Dieter Nuhr (62) has long established a second mainstay! In Germany he has been one of the most sought-after comedians for years: he is a welcome guest on TV shows and talk shows, but he has also staged his own shows and numerous funny programmes. But outside of his home country, the comedian is known for something completely different: Dieter is internationally successful as a painter!
“Nuhr has developed his own handwriting, which is seen and appreciated by museum directors and collectors. Can he also paint? I’m not asked that abroad.”explained the renowned gallery owner Dirk Geuer BZ Berlin. dieters Pictures consist of photographs that he takes while traveling – he then processes these digitally and paints them over so that only unique pieces are created. Between 2,000 and 18,000 euros are paid for his works.
But dieters Talent doesn’t come by chance, of course: he once studied art and photography before turning to cabaret. Today he exhibits his work internationally and across continents. “My works hung in Venice in a house with frescoes by Titian and Tintoretto. That makes me extremely happy. More is not possible.”the comedy star raves about his success.
