Sad news from the music world. Otis Redding III. (✝59) was known to fans as a passionate singer. The musician had followed in the footsteps of his father of the same name and had released six studio albums. Unfortunately, there will be no more works by the thoroughbred musician – because the American has been suffering from cancer for some time. He has now lost the fight against the disease – Otis has passed away.
This was admitted by the musician’s sister Facebook known: “It is with a heavy heart that the family confirms […]that Otis lost his battle with cancer last night.” His fans are dismayed: “You always take the good ones first. Mr. Redding, we will miss you” or “We have all lost a music legend,” two users write online.
Otis’ father was a celebrated industry superstar. But his success did not intimidate his son. In an interview with The New York Times had he said: “I go ahead and do what people want and I live with that. I don’t put myself under mental pressure to beg for record deals.”
