Pogba was born on 15 March 1993 in Lagny-sur-Marne, Seine-et-Marne, France, the son of Fassou Antoine and Yeo Moriba, immigrant parents from Guinea, as Paul Labile Pogba.

Pogba started playing football at the age of about 6 years. He registered with the United States of Roissy-en-Brie, where he played for six seasons before joining US Torcy. He was the best player in his new team, where he was named captain, and after an impressive first season, he joined professional club Le Harve. The lanky midfielder continued to impress in the team’s youth section, helping them to second place in the national championship for under-16s.

In July 2009, after being extensively scouted by Manchester United, Paul Pogba decided to swap his French club for the English giant.
