Is he waving his hooves again? Eddie Murphy (61) was honored for his lifetime achievement at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. In a career spanning more than 40 years, he appeared in films such as “Beverly Hills Cop”, “Dr. Dolittle” and “The Haunted Mansion”. However, the younger generation might know the actor as the talking donkey from the DreamWorks Shrek four-part series. Eddie is now revealed if he wants to be Shrek’s companion again!
The 61-year-old told Etalk he would “definitely” voice the popular character from the 2001 animated film again: “I’d be absolutely open to them ever doing another ‘Shrek’. I wouldn’t have to think twice. I love donkeys!” In reference to the success of the spin-off Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish – which received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature – the ‘Norbit’ actor could also have a Donkey ‘ Shrek ‘ spin-off imagine.
“They should have made a donkey movie. It’s funnier than Puss in Boots. I mean I love Puss in Boots but it’s definitely not as funny as Donkey,” he clarified. Eddie went on to say that DreamWorks Animation really needs to work on a project like this and “if you want to do it, give me a call. I’m ready!”
