Katy Perry (38) recently attended a gala in Los Angeles with Miranda Kerr (39), the ex of her boyfriend Orlando Bloom (46), and presented Miranda with the so-called “Excellence in the Arts Award”. Of course, the fact that the ex and the current wife of the same man get along as well as the singer and the model apparently do is not a matter of course. But the women make no secret of it. Now Katy Miranda dedicated flattering words via social media!
Taking to Instagram, the “Firework” hitmaker wrote: “Loved celebrating my favorite Australian and sister Miranda Kerr that night. Congratulations on the award, loving our modern family configuration.” It seems Katy doesn’t take it for granted that she and Miranda get along so well. The singer also quipped, “Thank you too for introducing me to celery juice.”
Miranda and Orlando dated for a total of six years before divorcing in 2013. Orlando has been with Katy since 2016, and in August 2020 the two announced the birth of their daughter Daisy.
