However, that should be the end of it for now, because the next Superman film deals with an earlier phase of the hero, so the role will be recast. Then, in 2025, fans can marvel at the new Superman on the big screen!
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, “Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to open in US theaters on July 11, 2025. It’s about how the popular superhero balances his origins from the planet Krypton with his human upbringing. However, it is not yet known who will succeed Henry.
Screenwriter James Gunn (56) previously revealed the reason for Henry’s Superman exit on Twitter. “The story will center around an earlier part of Superman ‘s life,” he explained. Accordingly, the successor of the 39-year-old should be younger. Nevertheless, James is looking forward to possible future joint projects with the actor.
