He’s making his social media comeback! Ed Sheeran, 31, has never been particularly active when it came to updating his fans on social media about his life. But not giving a sign at all for a whole two months was new. Now the singer is back and explains to his followers why they have heard so little from him in recent years: That’s why Ed posted so little on social media!
On Instagram, the 31-year-old reveals in a video: “I know that I haven’t been very active on social media for the last few years and have had little contact with my fans.” If he posted something, it was often just funny or silly, he says. The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker explains, “I’ve had some turbulence in my private life, so I didn’t feel like going online and pretending to be someone I wasn’t. It would have felt wrong.”
In his video, the musician does not go into detail about what is behind the “turbulence”. But there’s no question that Ed has changed a lot over the past few years. In May 2022 he revealed that he and his wife Cherry Seaborn (30) were expecting their second child. Her first child saw the light of day in 2020.
