In November 2022, the lifeless body of an 18-year-old girl who went missing on November 10 was discovered after a 15-day investigation by authorities.
Despite efforts by her family, friends and the police to locate her alive and well, she was found tragically dead.
According to her family, the young girl did not have a personal cell phone and was sometimes unreachable.
Her sister, who was still grieving the loss of their mother earlier this year, continued to search for her younger sibling.
It was subsequently determined that the cause of the young woman’s death was an accident and the result of hypothermia.
She had been exposed to cold temperatures for extended periods of time and had consumed significant amounts of alcohol and methamphetamine.
It is believed that the young woman was hanging out with friends before her disappearance and her lack of access to communication devices prevented her from asking her family for help.
Hypothermia can be a serious and potentially fatal condition that can increase heart rate and blood pressure, causing the body to lose heat faster than it can produce.
This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of being aware of the dangers of hypothermia and taking preventative measures to avoid its occurrence.

On November 10, Memarie White Mountain sent a Facebook message to her sister, Kaitlyn Sparks, indicating that she would be returning home.
Sadly, she never arrived and left no further messages on the platform. Not having a personal cell phone, she used a friend’s device to deliver the news.
Concerned about her absence, her family reported her missing and an investigation was immediately launched.
They sought help from the social media community in finding their loved ones.
Despite the best efforts of her friends, family and neighbors to locate her, Memarie’s lifeless body was discovered on November 23, 2022, a day before her 19th birthday.
Her family was particularly concerned for her safety, having lost their mother earlier this year.
Kaitlyn Sparks, who was close to her younger sister, found it difficult to come to terms with her tragic passing.
“It’s hard to believe something like this is happening so close to home, but I hope she just comes home,” she said.
“I think it hit her really hard because our mom was like our best friend, and she was just our go-to, and Memarie got close to her, just like any of us, so I think it hit her pretty hard .”
