
Alexis Ware was reported missing on January 30, 2022.
Alexis, who was only 21 years old at the time, was last seen in Anderson, South Carolina. According to sources, she had gone to a gas station to meet her ex-boyfriend before disappearing.
Despite an extensive search by authorities, no leads or clues have been found that shed light on her whereabouts.
During the investigation, Alexis’ red car was discovered two counties away in McCormick County. Her personal belongings were found in the vehicle, but there was no sign of Alexis.
This discovery only added to the mystery of her disappearance, leaving authorities with no solid leads to follow.
Alexis was a hard-working mother living in Greenville, South Carolina with her two children, a nine-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. She was known for her talent as a hair stylist and even set up her own home studio.
Reports indicate that she had big plans to open a boutique in Atlanta to give her children a better life.
Despite the passage of a year, the case of Alexis’s disappearance remains unsolved. Her family is pushing for more attention to the case and the nation is fascinated by her story.
Everyone hopes and prays for her safe return, but with no new leads, and authorities are still looking for answers.
Disappearance
Before her disappearance, Alexis chose to spend her weekend at her mother’s house, about 80 miles from her home in Greenville, South Carolina.
During her visit, she made it a point to spend her time with her family and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.
However, Alexis confided in her mother that she had received unwanted calls from an unknown person and felt she was being followed.
On January 30, Alexis left her mother’s house in the afternoon to return to her own home. Later she had a video chat with her mother and said she would take a nap.
That same day, she met her ex-boyfriend and father of her children, TJ Patterson, at a 7-Eleven store on Highway 29 North in Anderson, South Carolina.
She handed over her children to him at this location, and they both left in separate cars.
Later that night, around 7:30 p.m., Patterson called Alexis’ mother and described their goodbyes.
When her mother tried to call Alexis’ phone, it went straight to voicemail and she couldn’t reach her daughter. Alexis never returned home and has not been heard from since.
As concerns grew over her whereabouts, Alexis’s family filed a missing person report with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office on February 1, 2022.
To this day, her disappearance remains a mystery.
Research
Following the report of Alexis Ware’s disappearance from her family, an investigator was assigned to her case.
They were able to track the location of her phone in Anderson, South Carolina, at 8:15 p.m. the night of her disappearance.
The investigation led them to an apartment complex in Anderson, where her car was seen on CCTV a few times.
Unfortunately, the CCTV camera footage was unclear and they were unable to determine whether Alexis was driving the car at the time.
Police have taken fingerprints from the vehicle, but have not publicly revealed whether they match Alexis’s or anyone else’s.
On February 1, 2022, Alexis’ red 2019 Honda Accord with South Carolina Tag #6635NS was found abandoned and covered in mud in a hunting field in McCormick, South Carolina about thirty miles south of Anderson.
It was discovered that Alexis had no friends or family in the McCormick area.
Her cell phone, wallet and ID were all found in the car. Furthermore, a bag of clothing was found in the trunk and her hair cap was found outside the vehicle.
TJ Patterson, Alexis’s ex-boyfriend, stated that after their meeting at the gas station on January 30, he went home and went to work the next day.
The security footage from the gas station parking lot was reviewed, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. At this time, no persons of interest have been named in Alexis’s disappearance.
However, the police are thoroughly investigating all possible leads and avenues to bring justice and closure to her family and loved ones.
