Finally, the sequel to “How I Met Your Mother” is also available on TV in Germany. Starting today, ProSieben will air the sitcom sequel every Monday in a double episode. It starts at 8.15 pm!
“How I Met Your Mother” is an absolute sitcom cult. The series about Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), who ventured into the dating jungle of the big city with his friends to find the woman of his dreams, delighted viewers around the world between 2005 and 2014 and became one of the most popular sitcoms ever. Also in Germany, where the series was shown again and again in reruns. With “How I Met Your Father” there is now a spin-off in which Sophie (Hilary Duff) this time searches for her dream man for family planning.
In the US, the second season of “How I Met Your Father” has already started. The German television audience has had to watch the tube until now, because the spin-off of the cult sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” has not yet been broadcast on free TV.
That will now change, because from today, February 13, 2023, the first season of the hit series will run on ProSieben. The station airs 2 episodes weekly at prime time on Mondays. It starts today at 8:15 PM! All episodes are also available on Joyn one week before broadcast.

How I Met Your Father is about Sophie (in the future: Kim Cattrall, in the present: Hilary Duff) who tells her son in detail in 2050 how she met his father in the 2020s. It’s never been easy for her in dating life and, even after 87 failed dates, she’s still sure that “Mister Right” will be waiting for her somewhere. So picked up the mobile phone and tried the next dating app that promises great luck in love. And suddenly several men turn her head at the same time…
Incidentally: Fans of the original series may have an extra reason to tune in, as How I Met Your Father also features cameos from beloved How I Met Your Mother stars. So if you want to celebrate a little reunion and find out how the characters of the series fared after the end of the hit sitcom, you can easily switch to the sitcom sequel.
