Tony Goldwyn was born Anthony Howard Goldwyn on May 20, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Jennifer Howard, a Hollywood actress, and Samuel Goldwyn Jr., a film producer.
For his university education, Tony Goldwyn attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He also attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
