The murder of Tristyn Bailey

Tristyn Bailey, a seventh grade student, went missing on May 9, 2021.

Her body was discovered later that day near a retention pond at the end of the cul-de-sac where she lived.

She had suffered 114 stab wounds and Aiden Fucci was charged with murder. Sentencing hearings began on Tuesday and he faces a sentence ranging from 40 years to life in prison as he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Fucci and Bailey went to the same school, and several emails were sent to the principal of Patriot Oaks Academy, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and prosecutors.

Fucci’s acquaintance is said to have asked Bailey out the night she was last seen alive, and they met at his house.

His sweatshirt was not found and he is said to have a bag of clothes in the woods to change into. He was charged with stabbing Bailey repeatedly in a wooded section of the St. Johns neighborhood of Durbin Crossing.

Her body was discovered several hours later, less than half a mile from his home.

According to Tristyn Bailey’s autopsy report, the lead investigator said the cause of death was “trauma from stabbing.”

The autopsy report further revealed that she had 114 stab or laceration wounds across her head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and back.

Who is Tristyn Bailey?

Tristyn Bailey was 13 years old when she was killed in 2021. Her parents, Stacy and Forrest Bailey, held a memorial service at Celebration Church in Jacksonville, Florida, to honor her memory.

The Bailey 7, consisting of Tristyn and her parents, brother Teegan Bailey, and sisters Brittney Bailey Russell, Alexis Bailey and Sophia Bailey, want to preserve her memory. At the same time, they continue to recover from her murder.
