Verna Bloom, born on August 7, 1939, is an American actress who grew up in Massachusetts in a small town called Lynn. She attended Boston University, where she graduated with a BFA from the institution’s School of Fine Arts.

She and all members of her family are of Jewish Ashkenazi descent. Before becoming a great actress, she trained in theater arts at HB Studio in New York. Between the 60’s and late ’80s, she was at the height of her career when she appeared in numerous films in Hollywood.
Before Verna Bloom blossomed on the big stage, she began, as mentioned above, to appear in plays in the mid-1960s; she only achieved fame and fortune when she played the role of the assassin Charlotte Corday in the Broadway production Marat/Sade in 1967.
