Other Facts about Megyn Kelly’s Husband
Bront’s career as a novelist sprang from his love of literature. In his opinion, “it’s a safe place” for someone who is shy. During his time as CEO, Brunt chose writing as recreational therapy, and this is how his novel came about.
He married Megyn Kelly on March 1, 2008, at a wedding ceremony in Huntington, New York. Brunt told The Times in an interview with the couple that she was the type of woman who knew what she wanted from life and who radiated such energy over her that she lit up the room on the first day they met.
He met his wife on a blind date when he was still a tech CEO, and the two got along so well. His looks and personality won Kelly over, and they started dating. During the interrogation, Brunt revealed that shortly after Kelly acquired a stalker, they started dating each other, so they were with her around the clock. This is how they had their “awkward” first kiss in front of the security guards.
Kelly described him as sincere, a good listener, smart, and with a good sense of humor.
Then came the proposal in September 2007 on a beach in New Jersey. That was shortly after Kelly had been transferred to New York, where Brunt lived, to take over her new job as hostess of the American newsroom.
As one who had found the woman he wanted to be with, Brunt asked the question with a fake ring which he thought reminded him of the Titanic while sitting on a bench by the sea in Beach Haven, New Jersey.
Brunt is Kelly’s second husband. The TV correspondent was married to Dr. Dan Kendall (2001 to 2006), who held off until 2011 when Kelly’s commentary on the fraud scandal of New York Congressman Anthony Weiner accidentally fell back on her ex-husband.
To clear his name, Kendall spoke in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Online to declare with “100% certainty” that he was “completely faithful to Megyn”. He added that he had texted Kelly at the time and she apologized.
Together, Brunt and Kelly had three children, two sons, and a daughter. Their first son Edward Yates Brunt was born on September 25, 2009, and named after his two grandfathers; daughter Yardley Evans Brunt was born on April 14, 2011; their third child Thatcher Bray Brunt was born on July 23, 2013.
The family lives in New York City. During a tour to promote his third novel, “Trophy Son”, Brunt said that he and Kelly want to give their children the opportunity to try different things. He said this in reference to the story contained in the novel.
Brunt is not only defending his wife, who has continued to make headlines with her feud with President Donald Trump, and achieved considerable ratings with her new NBC show but is also staying out of the spotlight. We can already guess what he would do with his time – he is working on his fourth novel.
Before “Trophy Son” came out, the novelist had already begun to collect thoughts and write his next passion project.
