Landry Fields is a college scout who made a name for himself in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after playing for the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors before he had to take early retirement due to injury problems. Since then, however, he has remained a part of the sport.
Who Is Landry Fields? Biography
Fields was born on June 27, 1988, in Long Beach, California, and grew up with 2 siblings at his parents, Steve and Janice Fields.
Throughout his life, Landry has always been very close to basketball, so it is not surprising that he became very good at the game. Because his father, Steve Fields, was not only a college basketball player when he was at the University of Miami, he also made the draft in 1975 even though he couldn’t play in an NBA game.
The only thing more interesting than the fact that his father also played at a younger age is that his mother, Janice Fields, was once a community college basketball player. Landry, a cousin of Cameron Jones, also has some members of his extended family who played the sport.
For his education, he attended Ellwood P. Cubberley Elementary School, where he went to Stanford University where he continued to play. With outstanding performance, he was selected by the New York Knicks for the 2010 NBA Draft. Prior to that, he made it into the first-team All-Pac-10 and was named Pac-10 Scholar and Athlete of the Year.
At the end of his first season in the NBA, he made it into the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Before that, he was Rookie of the Month in the Eastern Conference in November and December 2010. He remained with the Knickers until 2012 when he signed a three-year, $20 million contract with the Toronto Raptors.
Unfortunately, he was not able to make it big with the Raptors, as he suffered repeated injuries. When his contract expired, he had to undergo another operation, which excluded him for up to five months. As a result, he did not participate in the 2015-2016 season anymore, which meant the end of his career. Nevertheless, he stayed close to the sport as he was appointed college scout by the San Antonio Spurs.
Besides basketball, he has also made several television appearances. In 2011 he participated in the Andy and Landry Show, which he co-directed with his former teammate Andy Rautins. The show lasted less than a year before it ended. Next, he was a reality show contestant on Sing Your Face Off in 2014 and was voted second with Lisa Rinna.
Who is his Wife? Girlfriend
If you’re wondering if the ex-NBA star has a girlfriend or not, he doesn’t have one. He’s been married to his supermodel girlfriend, Elaine Alden, since 2014.
Elaine, who was born on February 11, 1987, was first associated with Landry Fields in 2012 when he was still playing for the New York Knicks. The ex-basketball player first spotted the woman who would later become his wife at an electronic dance music show, and thanks to the fact that she was in a group with a mutual friend, the two were introduced to each other, which would lead to something great.
The duo was engaged until 2013, before ending up as man and wife in 2014, when they performed on a rooftop overlooking a beautiful Gothic cathedral in Rockefeller Center. The union has so far been blessed with two sons: Jackson James Fields, born a year before the couple married, and Kai David Fields, born in 2016.
Elaine Alden was a model before her marriage and appeared in several fitness videos, but not much is known about her family or upbringing.
As a former basketball star, it is easy to assume that Landry Fields has an intimidating height. He has this right because he stands at an enormous height of 2.01 m (6 feet) and a bodyweight of 98 kg (215 lbs).
