Fleury debuted on October 10, 2003, as the youngest NHL goalkeeper at the age of 18 in a match against the Los Angeles Kings. As his game developed amid financial crises with the team, Marc Andre Fleury was sent back to play for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the QMJHL, where he did not fall short of expectations and was fielded for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League. The champion goalkeeper remained with the team after the 2008-2009 victory and maintained his impressive goalpost form until the 2016-2017 season.
