The philanthropist Jayde Katherine Rossi was born on 23 July 1985 in San Diego, California, USA. She is the oldest of four children and began acting at the age of 12. Jayde completed her high school education and received a full scholarship to California State University. During her studies, she decided to put entertainment aside and focus on her academic work and working with teenagers in the care system as a mentor. At the end of her four-year course, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services.

However, a university degree was not the only distinction she received. She also received the Spirit of Volunteerism Award as an outstanding volunteer in Orange County in 2007.
