“The Little Mermaid” is one of Disney’s most anticipated live-action films. With the premiere date set for May of next year, the plot features Halle Bailey. Director Rob Marshall reveals that the feature will only be ready at the end of March.
In an interview, he claims that COVID has disrupted some of the film’s production processes. He also reveals that he had some difficulties managing the production of two works.
“So I have to say I’m now really looking forward to answering that question in the coming months when it’s done. This film will be finished probably at the end of March,” says the filmmaker.
The song from “The Little Mermaid” is emotional in the voice of Halle Bailey
The film is directed by Rob Marshall, from a screenplay written by David Magee and Hans Christian Andersen. The feature is like a remake of the 1989 classic, which told the story of the princess on the high seas and all the conflicts she dealt with when she fell in love with a human.
Actress Melissa McCarthy, best known for playing Gilmore Girls, will star in the role of Ursula in Disney’s new movie. In an interview with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she reveals that she cried when she heard the film’s song in Halle’s voice. She comments:
“We were on set and Halle’s version of a song [from the film] started playing. It’s so beautiful. Is different. The girl sings her heart out, and when I heard it, six other people and I just burst into tears. ”
