During his time as a political incumbent, he built a “provocative social media” presence as a conservative Republican, despite being registered as a Democrat and an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump. He accepted a position with the pro-Donald Trump Super PAC America First Action as a spokesperson and senior advisor.

He founded a Maryland-based company called DAC Enterprises, which works for the Capital Research Center and America First Action Policy.

The Issue With CNN

He received his master’s degree in security studies from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in 2013, but it was not entirely uncontroversial. The Cable News Network (CNN) reported that he plagiarized 47 parts of his dissertation without properly acknowledging his sources. According to the CNN report, it was reported that his dissertation on “Making U.S. security and privacy rights compatible” contained literal content from the 9/11 Commission Report, George W. Bush’s memoir Decision Points, and American Civil Liberties Union reports, without properly citing his sources.

This report prompted the Naval Postgraduate School to withdraw the dissertation from their online archives, and they wrote a letter to Clarke in July 2017 under the supervision of Commander Paul Rasmussen, the Dean of Students, in which he (the Dean of Students) agreed that his dissertation was plagiarism and therefore violated the school’s code of honor; the “violation was not intentional deception or embezzlement” and that he should submit a revised dissertation or have his degree revoked.

It is not yet known whether he has complied with this directive and what has become of his degree.

Sheriff David Clarke Family – Parents, Wife, Children

Clarke’s mother was named Jeri, while his father David Clarke Snr. was a paratrooper with the 2nd Ranger Infantry Company. He parachuted to the front line during the Korean War (June 25, 1950 – July 27, 1953) before returning to Milwaukee. Upon his return, he worked at the post office, where he and his wife Jeri had five children in a white neighborhood.

Sheriff David Clarke grew up in a white neighborhood, got an education at a white high school, and eventually married a white woman. He is considered by some black Americans as not “black enough” and is criticized in a similar way.

Clarke is married to Julie Clarke, a former court clerk and later real estate agent/broker. David and Julie met during a double murder trial in which Sheriff David Clarke was the lead detective on the case, while Julie was a court clerk at the time. They took a liking to each other, and the rest is the couple we’ve known all these years.
