Samantha Lynne Hanratty, more commonly known as Sammi Hanratty, was born on September 20, 1995, in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA, the youngest of five sisters and three brothers. She attended the Desert Trails Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sammi is known for roles in movies and television series dating back to 2005. Her first appearance in television series was in season 6 of Passions, where she played the role of Adele in 2005. In the same year, she appeared in Charmed, Drake & Josh, House, and Last Laugh.

Sammi Hanratty has also appeared in other series, including recurring roles in Hello Sister, Goodbye Life (2006) as Celia, The Suite Life by Zack & Cody as Holly, Stephen King’s Desperation as Pie Carver, and The Unit as Jen Gerhardt alongside her sister and fellow actress Danielle, and more recently she played Kassidi Gallagher in Shameless (2017).

Everyone has something to give themselves to now and then. For Sammi, it must be tattooed. She has six different tattoos on her body. Her first tattoo was in July 2014, a cross on her right ring finger. In September 2015 she got a cross tattooed on her wrist. As a tribute to her parents, Sammi got a big black dragonfly tattooed on her left ankle in April 2016. In July 2017 she had another tattoo, this time an eagle behind her right ear, with the help of artist Tim Hendricks. In November, she had a green four-leaf clover tattooed on her elbows. As a child, Sammi had a number of fascinating experiences, one of which was a recurring nightmare of a girl without eyes, who constantly wanted to shave her head.
