Yellow Days – Biography & Age

George van den Broek was born in Manchester, England, but grew up in Haslemere, a town on the southern edge of Surrey. His date of birth is not yet known. Nothing is known about his early years, his family or even his educational background. However, his musical adventure is sufficiently documented.

At the age of 11, van den Broek received a Christmas gift that would change the story of his life forever. He was given a guitar at the time and thus began his journey into the musical. Through his passion and sheer enthusiasm, Gelbe Tage has proven that he not only has a good head on his shoulders but also one full of endless possibilities. As an adolescent, he set up a temporary studio in the lower part of his garden, from where he created songs.

In late 2015 he started releasing solo singles and did Soundcloud uploads on his part. Soon, both his piercingly honest lyrics and his throaty, yearning singing inspired music lovers. What brought him even more into the public eye was the genre he played in: pop/rock with styles like indie rock, alternative/indie rock, and indie-pop.

His voice was defined as one that seems to have seen many years and lives. This may be because it is smoggy and scratchy, often overwhelmed by the deft, mature way in which he channels emotions. His publications include songs about the ups and downs of small-town life and falling in love with other topics such as depression, fear, and politics. Each song in his catalog continues to testify to his maturity. His influences include timeless vocalists like Ray Charles, Mac DeMarco, Howlin’ Wolf, and Thundercat.

Yellow Days was signed by the indie label Good Years. Under their guidance and guidance, his dark debut EP Harmless Melodies received a warm reception in November 2016. This was soon followed by the jarring and brooding album Is Everything Okay in Your World? in October 2017, which tells of his struggles with mental health and growing up in the modern age. It also includes the Irish rapper Rejjie Snow in one of her tracks entitled Lately I. Between the two releases, he regularly released singles in 2017, some of which appeared on his LP.

He also performs at music festivals. Following the arrival of his LP, Yellow Days performed at the Tropicalia Music And Taco Festival on November 11, 2017, in Long Beach, California. After one of the singles from his EP, Gap in the Clouds, which accompanied the trailer for the second season of Donald Glover’s FX series Atlanta in early 2018, Yellow Days reached a wider audience. In April 2018, he released a single entitled The Way Things Change and embarked on a world tour. He had a series of sold-out club shows in the United States and then in Europe.

With a chance to perform at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the future for the young artist is definitely bright.
