Ender Inciarte Biography

Ender David Inciarte Montiel, the Atlanta Braves outfielder was born in the Venezuelan city of Maracaibo (Zulia) on 29 October 1990. He grew up alongside an older brother in a family who was no stranger to the sport, as his father was also allowed to play professional baseball in his native Venezuela.

Due to his father’s influence and the fact that he grew up in this sport, both Ender Inciarte and his older brother Astolfo learned to play the sport very early in their lives and both grew up to be players, although it is the younger Inciarte who would go far.

Ender grew up in Maracaibo, where he spent his days at school until 1 pm and then moved to play baseball with his father and brother.

As a young baseball player, Inciarte was founded in 2008 when he became an international agent and signed with the Diamondbacks. He played in the Minor League with the Yakima Bears. It was the Philadelphia Phillies who later selected him in the 2012 Rule 5 draft.

Without any show, he was back with the Diamondbacks, who let him play with the Mobile BayBears. After his promotion through the Arizona Diamondbacks, he made the leap into the MLB in 2014. However, he only played until 2015, when he left the team for the Atlanta Braves.

Contract and Salary

Following his move to the Braves and his great performance for the team, Ender Inciarte was awarded a contract worth over $30 million in 2016. The five-year contract includes four years of arbitration and one year of freelance work.

Based on the contract, Inciarte received a signing bonus of $3.5 million, while his salary will change over the years. For the first year, he will receive $2 million, his salary will be $4 million in 2018 and increase to $5 million in 2019, while he will receive $7 million in 2020, and the outfielder will take home $8 million in 2021. If he leaves in 2022, there will be an exit clause of over one million. But if he stays, he will receive $9 million in salary.
