Janelle Brown – Biography

The reality TV star was born Janelle S. Schriever on May 6, 1969, in the United States. She was born as the daughter of American parents Sheryl Usher and her then-husband Robert Brown. Her father supposedly died in 1972 when she was just three years old. After his death, her mother married Merlin Fryer, and when they divorced, she married Kody Brown’s father Winn Brown, who happens to be Jannelle’s father-in-law. Brown grew up with her only sister Carrie; however, there is not much information about her sister.

Born into the Mormon faith, Janelle grew up in the same faith system. She still lives and practices the Mormon way of life today. Janelle is well educated; however, the details of her basic and higher education are not known. There is much evidence that she completed Bountiful High School at a very young age.

Janelle Brown joined the reality TV show “Sister Wives” in 2010 as one of the wives of polygamist Kody Brown. Through the show, the Brown family wants to inform the public about polygamist families and how social prejudice can be combated.

According to his own conviction, Kody Brown has declared that the polygamist arrangement is legal since he is legally married to only one woman, while the others are spiritual connections. Their daughter Madison was married to Caleb Bush on June 4, 2016, and they have a son named Alex Bush. The first son of Janelle and Kody, Logan, announced his engagement to Michelle Petty on September 15, 2017.
